Spiritual enlightening is an incredible process that brings satisfaction, harmony, and spiritual identity in one. In this busy world people are searching how they might remain calm and at peace. Spiritual awakening is not necessarily a process of freeing ourselves from material attachment but of attuning our mind and heart toward productivity in a peaceful and fulfilling manner. This awakening usually involves availing ourselves to special practices, which are; practice of meditation, acceptance of challenges, practice of positive thoughts and practice of self love by detaching and accepting.

Accepting Problems for achieving Comfort

One of the things that one needs to recognize in spiritual awakening is that it is important for one to welcome challenges instead of complaining about them. Challenges that come with life, be it depression, stress or hard knocks are usually lessons in a way. But when we stand before these trials courageously with endurance then we find our strength within us. It also means that we never have to see difficulty as a negative place but as the way one advances on the path of spiritual growth.

This is how acceptance leads to better and deeper mental peace in handling troubles. This means that troubles are not just a burden to the bearer but are also learning experiences for that person. She said; They teach me patience, humility and perseverance. As we work to overcome them we are ment to become more or less indifferent to temporary losses and to concentrate on the long range objectives. This change makes for inner harmony, since instead of individuals helpless and struggling within the context of life challenges, one gets a new perspective as a master and creator of one’s own destiny.

Positive actions and words

Impact of positive thinking and positive actions is very significant in the process of spiritual awakening. Whatever we think about, we bring into our existence and so when we think about positive things that improve our living, we create such a reality. This level of thankfulness, of being kind and compassionate alters the way one perceives life, as well as the way one engages with life.

Positivity is expressed in actions, one may help people that are in need, be kind and compassionate and spread happiness. All these are not only helpful to society or the people around us but also a constant reminder of our divine selves. That is why being truthful and compassionate makes us harmonize with laws of the universe; laws of love. In the long run this has a cycle of impacting others in the society with positive energy which in turn comes back to us as positive energy in the form of peace, contentment and spiritual satisfaction.

Detachment and Acceptance

Monks and Sages are one of the best teachers of spirituality and they teach us that the highest achievement is known as viveka which means the art of detachment. It involves not being rigid and not having the urge to try to control the world and everything around us but rather actually desisting from letting go. This way learning detachment, one is relieved from pressures of struggling for wealth, recognition or the approval of others.

Detachment helps one accept life and embrace whatever comes one’s way without any fuss. In my case, it took me a long time to learn that which the world didn’t accept was something I should embrace for me to feel content. This means that when people begin to understand that some things are unchangeable then they learn to embrace the process of life as they are able to find peace irrespective of the surrounding conditions. Such an attitude restores the harmony in our inner emotional and mental conditions, and minimizes the anxiety caused by attachments and the fear of change. Out of these universal truths learned from Buddhism such as non-attachment and acceptance, one learns that he or she has power to attain happiness not via the surrounding circumstances but from within himself or herself.

Meditation Practices

It will be pertinent to mention here that meditation is one of the most important techniques of spiritual opening. It lets the mind de-clutter, clear, and draw back and think or reflect. By practice of meditation, the outside interferences are removed and one is being directed towards the awareness of life. Meditation on the other hand keeps the mind clutter free, strengthens one’s emotional intelligence and provides a gateway to the spiritual realm.

To begin, one can try practicing breathing exercises or the feeling of calm where the primary focus is on the process of breathing, the sensation of it, and thoughts simply coming and going without engaging with them. Through a regular practice of meditation, the mind is calmed and becomes stilled making the practice attainable for people to learn about true peace. This silence helps us be with the self, to go beyond the loud chatter of the mind which is always overwhelmed with stress or anxiety. In the long run, meditation cultivates a healthy psychological state so that a person can face life issues with a cool and calm state of mind.

Love yourself

Loving oneself is a crucial step that one has to embrace before turning to spirituality. In most instances it has been said that it is impossible for an individual to love others in the right manner without loving himself. Self love in a known as accepting oneself and cherishing one’s being with positive feelings, compassions, and consideration collectedly. It entails recognizing one’s abilities and disabilities and not criticize oneself for what one cannot do.

Drawing upon self love needs to be stellar in ensuring the heart is fed and there is a positive aura created for mind, body and soul. Self-love makes us broader to protect ourselves and to know when it is necessary to dedicate some time to rest and remain healthy. This inner love expands, thus all interactions become much easier and there is even closeness with the divine. When we start respecting ourselves, it is much easier to accept what the life offers, the beauty and the love.

As there is no known way of eliminating all conflicts in this world, people should aim to get into harmony in order to create peace and balance.

Spirirtual enlightenment is not a state one reaches one day, but it is a process one has to undertake every day. By meditation, accepting and initiating challenges, cultivating an optimistic outlook, being detached to what happens around us, and loving ourselves, we can have the best, stress-free lives. One understands that individual gratification and the true concept of happiness stem from the required practices. We find ourselves in harmony with divinity; and thus when we embark on a path of love, compassion, and acceptance, spiritual awakening happens spontaneously in our lives.
